How to block a website without using any software ??

A simple way to block access to websites without using any software

Go to My Computer >> C: >> Windows >> System 32 >> drivers >> etc

 

 

Copy the file name hosts to some other location

Open the copied file with notepad

It will open in notepad and show a list of hosts 127.0.0.1 etc ...

Type the address of the website to be blocked like this (Eg: 127.0.0.2 www.google.com etc ..)

Save it. Replace the original file with the saved file. Continue if asked to provide adrministrator rights.

Restart the browser and the changes would have come to effect. The browser just fails to load the page without creating additional dialogs.

State Bank Mobile Banking

Mobile Banking Facility is provided by all State Bank Branches to customers who have an ATM Card and a mobile which has bluetooth facility.


The mobile banking can be availed through 2 channels.

1. SMS

2. GPRS

For availing the service customer should send a SMS <MBSREG> to 9223440000 or 567676.
(messaging cost as per operator)

• The customer will be provided with a User ID and a MPIN

• The MPIN should be changed as the first step.

• This step also validates the handset for further transactions.

• After completing the process, customer should go to a nearest ATM and complete the mobile registration process using the ATM Card.

• Now, the mobile registration and mobile number being confirmed, the mobile application is ready for use.

• The user can change the channel - GPRS or SMS, depending on handset and availability of  service.
